How LendCedar makes money

You pay nothing to use LendCedar. Our income comes from lenders and loan brokers, who pay for each loan request a visitor chooses to send them.

Who pays LendCedar

When you fill in the loan request form and send it, your request goes to the lenders and loan brokers that work with LendCedar. They pay us for each request we pass to them. That is how the site is funded.

The payment is for the request itself. It does not depend on whether a lender makes you an offer or whether you take a loan.

What you pay

Nothing. Reading the guides, using the calculators, signing up for the newsletter and sending a loan request are all free. LendCedar never asks you for a fee to get a loan, and no one should ask you to pay anything upfront in LendCedar’s name.

What the payment does not change

  • The guides. Partners do not review, edit or approve our pages. They cannot pay to be mentioned, linked or described more kindly. The editorial policy explains how pages are written and checked.
  • The calculators. The formulas are the same for every visitor and are published on the methodology page. No partner’s rates or fees are built in.
  • Rankings. There are none. We do not rank, rate or endorse lenders.

What happens after you send a request

Lenders and loan brokers who receive your request can reach you by call, text or email, within the consent you gave on the form. Any offer comes from them, on their own terms and after their own review of your application. LendCedar is not a lender or a loan broker, does not make credit decisions and does not see or set the rate you are offered.

You do not have to accept any offer. Before you agree to one, compare it with what a bank or credit union near you would charge, and check the lender’s license as described on Licensing.

Your choices

You can use every guide and calculator without sending a request. If you send one and change your mind, you can withdraw your consent to be contacted. The Privacy policy explains how, and what we do with the information in a request.
